What are Seamless Gutters?
Seamless Gutters are continuous lengths of gutter that are cut to custom lengths specifically for your house. Typically seamless gutters are roll-formed with special on-site equipment. As the name implies, seamless gutters have no seam, making it very unlikely that they will leak.
Can I install Gutters Myself?
Seamless gutters require specialized roll-form equipment that makes it an unlikely project for a home DIYer. However, vinyl “snap-together” gutters are available from home renovation stores and can be installed by a homeowner. It’s a project that should not be completed without careful planning, and it goes without saying that climbing up to your roof puts you at risk of injury or death from falling.
Whats the difference between Seamless Gutters and Sectional Gutters?
Seamless gutters are single, long sections of gutter that are typically roll-formed on-site and only have seams in the corners or at downspouts. This greatly reduces the likelihood of leaks, however seamless gutters are not “leak-proof”. Sectional gutters typically come in 8-foot sections and have a greater likelihood of leaking. Vinyl sectional gutters are a type of plastic that can become brittle due to cold temperatures or over time due to sun-exposure.
How do I keep leaves out of my gutters?
We install the LeafProof system, which is a solid aluminum gutter cover that works on the principle of surface tension. Surface tension can best be visualized by slightly tipping a glass of water and watching the water run down the side of the glass.
